New observations of K I and Na I resonant line emission observed at
about 5 arcsec from mass-losing stars are presented. Positive detection
of K I and Na I for Alpha(1) Her (M5 Ib-II) and Omicron Ceti (Mira), and
upper limits of K I for the carbon star TX Psc and the M-giant Beta Peg
were obtained.
