K-effects for the system of open star clusters (OSC) are studied from their spatial velocities in a cylindrical galactocentric coordinate system. The contraction of the OSC system is suggested by a negative trend in the dependence of radial velocity on galactocentric distance. Without an attempt of explanation, the dependence of the K-effect on age of OSCs is studied. We find that the contraction parameter is largest for the middle-age OSC sample, with a maximum K=-5.60 km s^{-1} kpc^{-1} for clusters with ages about 100 My.
It is natural to suppose that general contraction is present not only in radial velocities but in tangential velocities too. In such case the dependence of tangential velocities on galactocentric longitude will yield a similar negative trend. But there are difficulties with a correct account of the Galaxy rotation curve and its possible variations with longitude. The results obtained from tangential velocities are less reliable.
