More than 100 people submitted hundreds of images, drawings, and descriptions of Jupiter during the 2003-2004 apparition. The writer measured over 100 drift rates in 19 different currents. A record number of dark spots (21) in the north temperate current-B appeared and they had an average system II drift rate of -80°/30 days. The average normalized magnitude of Jupiter was V(1,0) = -9.43±0.02, which is brighter than in 1999-2001; this may be due to the thinning of the NEB, the brightening of the EZ and the near absence of the NTB.
