Jupiter's Great Red Spot has changed in appearance, color, size, intensity and rotation period over many years. This paper deals with the changing Great Red Spot from 1951 to 2002, and is based upon the personal research and observations by this writer. A summary and emphasis are placed on the following periods of observations: the long Red Spot years, the dark Red Spot years, the "changing" Red Spot years, the faint Red Spot years. This paper will also include the various aspects that the Great Red Spot has presented over the many years. Also, covered will be the interaction the Red Spot has had with other Jovian features such as the STB White Ovals, the South Tropical Zone disturbances, the South Tropical Zone streaks, and the South Equatorial Belt disturbances.
