Observations of a sample of asteroids and Jovian satellites made at the GPO (Grand Prisme Objectif) at La Silla Observatory in March 1982 are presented, and their errors are compared in various bijections. Position measurements were obtained with the Optronics measuring machine (precision 1 micron, circle pointing), which is connected to a computer supplied with star positions from the Perth and SAO catalogs. Examination of rms errors in the reference stars as a function of bijection and number of reference stars is then used to determine the optimal bijection formulations for three objects using different numbers of stars.
