The conjecture that an object may pass through a black hole and enter
'another universe' is re-examined by computing the quantum stress tensor
for an electrically charged black hole in thermodynamic equilibrium with
a de Sitter horizon. The conjecture is confirmed if a modification is
made to the trace anomaly, as suggested by a Euclidean treatment.
