Kes 75 is a distant composite supernova remnant containing a very energetic young pulsar. Using a 190 ks Chandra observation, we have carried out an investigation of the compact wind nebula surrounding the pulsar, and of the emission from the SNR shell. We find clear evidence of a jet extending to the southwest of the pulsar as well as complex brightness variations within the nebula. We report on the spectra of these nebula regions in comparison with that of the pulsar itself. From the remnant shell, we find a multicomponent spectrum that indicates emission from both shock-heated ejecta and swept-up interstellar material. We present the results of this spectral investigation in the context of constraints on the stellar progenitor for Kes 75.
