To obtain information from the entire jet squadrons now being discovered as well as the large scale impacts caused by individual jets requires a means to decipher the signatures. Here, recent theory and simulations of jet propagation will be reviewed. Current issues concerning how to distinguish the effects of the environment from the driving source will be raised. The global evolution from protostellar jet to young stellar jet and the expected statistics will then be discussed.
