We propose to observe the Herbig-Haro Objects, HH-1, HH-24A, HH-43 in low dispersion with IUE for four scientific purposes: (1) to accurately determine the far-UV continuum and emission line strengths; (2) to study possible lineto-continuum variations; (3) to investigate the continuum characteristics of HH-24A (which may include both H two-photon and reflection components); and (4) to investigate anomalous grain characteristics in these star-forming regions. This research is an extension of our 5th and 6th year IUE programs in which we confirmed the H two-photon nature of the UV continuum and discovered anomalously low UV extinction in HH-2H.
