The status of the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF) and
the procedure of its implementation are presented. We will focus on VLBI
contributions to ITRF and their relationships to the other IERS
techniques in terms of TRF definition as well as quality assessment.
Future plans for ITRF2000 will be outlined.
