It is shown that the introduction of simple and natural restrictions on the solutions obtained by the method of differential corrections permits the effective use of this method in the iterative process of search for model parameters in the analysis of light curves of eclipsing binary stars. The iterations converge to a unique exact solution practically independently of the initial approximations. The method is tried on model and observed light curves. The elements of the binary system V 1143 Cyg with a large eccentricity (e - 0.5) are revised.
