A modification of Brouwer's (1944) method for determining perturbations in planetary orbits is proposed. The coordinate system is chosen arbitrarily. Expansions of the right-hand terms in the equations of motion are obtained which do not depend on the order of perturbations and are suitable for computer calculations. The functions of unperturbed motion, used in calculating the perturbations, are presented in symmetric form and have no singularities for zero eccentricities. The method of iterations is used for the integration so that several terms higher than n-th order relative to the perturbing mass can be taken into account in each n-th approximation.
