Three isotopic forms of carbon monoxide, 12C 17O, 12C 18O, and 13C 16O, were measured in the Martian atmosphere. We used CSHELL (0.5 arc-sec slit width, resolving power 40000) at NASA's IRTF. Data were taken on January 16, 2006 from 7:31 UT to 8:46 UT, (Ls 357.3o). The slit was oriented N-S on the meridian of Mars (sub-earth point at 340-357o W, 17.5o S). Spectra were centered at 2160.0 cm-1, 2148.5 cm-1, and 2138.0 cm-1, and one arc-sec extracts (summed over five rows) were centered at 64oN, 18oS (sub-earth position), and 42oS. The R5 and R8 absorption lines (1-0 band) were measured for 12C 17O R13, R15, R16, and R20 for 12C 18O and R11, R15, R18, and R19 for 13C 16O. Boltzmann analyses were performed to obtain the rotational temperature associate with these transitions and the corresponding column densities were obtained. Preliminary analysis indicates that the ratios among column density for these isotopic forms of carbon monoxide on Mars are similar to those on the earth. We would like to acknowledge NASA-IRTF for the use of the telescope and NSF's Planetary Astronomy Program's grant (AST-0505765) which funded this project under the RUI program.
