Scientific paper

The paper reports results of sulfur isotopic analyses of disseminated total sulfur, as well as of trace sulfate and sulfide, in selected Proterozoic and late Archean platform carbonates, in Archean carbonate rocks of hydrothermal origin, and in carbonates associated with Archean greenstone belts. The sulfur isotopic composition of authigenic pyrites from a continuous section of clastic rocks from the East European Paltform that straddles the Precambrian-Cambrian boundary is given. Sample locations and geology are summarized.
