Isophotometric measurements have been made on films, taken during the
transit of Mercury, on May 9, 1970. This note gives the isophotes of
Mercury in front of the sun in white light and some results of the
comparison between the intensity of the sunspot's umbra and Mercury in
H-alpha and white light.
