Models of the solar convection zone were studied. The effect of fluctuations in the mode of energy transport were investigated at different depths in the sun to determine which regions are most effective in causing change. Short term radius fluctuations observed in the model were examined. Possible causes of convective efficiency fluctuations are discussed and the application of this theory to other stars is considered.
