From BVR observations it is concluded that in 1980 - 1981 the brightness modulation of EV Lac was caused by the same active regions. No correlation between the frequency or the energetics of flares on EV Lac and the phase of its photometric variability was found. An additional minimum on the light curve has been observed that is probably due to eclipse of the star by an unseen companion.
