With the main sequence mass luminosity relation, the dynamical parallax computed from the elements of a preliminary obit, leads to masses of 1.8 Msun for the components of the visual pair COU 79 = 21 Ari. This result is not consistent with the F6 V spectral type. This discrepancy can be explained either by an error in the luminosity class, or, more likely, by the presence of an third body of one solar mass closer than O".03 to one of the components.
