This paper reports the status of the research on the effects of the irradiation of accretion disks. We cover both the X-ray spectra where the disk reflection is visible as well as the modifications of the optical/UV disk continuum. We discuss various geometries of the irradiation, including the photon scattering by the warm absorber and the disk corona which may be important for illuminating disk outer parts.
