Facilities in Britain and the US for trajectory guidance, corrections, and data links in the IRAS (Netherlands IR astronomical satellite) are described briefly. The flight control center is located at Slough, near London; British satellites UK-5 and UK-6 are to be used for trajectory adjustments. The EDP base, verification of state of data, and time available for data bursts are discussed. Two minicomputers will be on duty, with a third on standby, for the mission; ultimate scientific data evaluation will take place in the USA. Possible use of excess available data transfer time is considered.
