We report IR photometry obtained with the WIYN telescope and NIRIM instrument of the black hole binary system GRO J0422+32 taken over two full nights in November 2002. We find modulations on the 5 hour orbital period, but these modulations are not ellipsoidal in character. Since the source was in quiescence at the time, we suggest that star spots may have dominated the lightcurve during our observations.
