The ionosphere can be perturbed by sever weathers, such as front, thunderstorm, and typhoon (or hurricane). An HF CW Doppler sounding system with a probing frequency 5.26 MHz in Taiwan has been employed to observe variations in the ionospheric Doppler frequency shift induced by typhoons since 2004. In this paper, the frequency, amplitude, angle of arrival, and propagation of the variations triggered by a supper typhoon LONGWANG in the western Pacific Ocean, during 23 September to 2 October 2004 are investigated and discussed.
