More than 2000 ionograms were reduced by a new inversion method. Statistical analysis reveals typical morphological features in the electron density profiles some of which are distinct from what is known from other longitudes. Comparison with the International Reference Ionosphere (IRI) not only reveals differences in the subpeak electron content (SPC) but also in the E-F valley and the F1-F2 valley phenomena.
