SEVERAL emission features of the night airglow in the tropics are
measured regularly at the Haleakala Observatory of the Institute for
Astronomy, University of Hawaii. Simultaneously, determinations of the
ionospheric electron content are being made by the Department of
Electrical Engineering, University of Hawaii, in Honolulu.
