In the disk of a spiral galaxy or outside of the nucleus of an irregular galaxy, the morphology of hot ionised gaseous regions (H II regions) can take many shapes: champagne or blister, bubble or half-bubble, giant complex, etc. Two basic types of internal turbulences in the H II regions have been proposed: "ordered" (champagne, wind, etc.) and "random" (relative motions, self-gravitation, differential rotation, etc.). Other deductions have been obtained from the observations, regarding the luminosity and the rate of star formation.
