A yttrium abundance in the solar atmosphere equal to 2.33 + or - 0.08
dex is determined from an analysis of solar lines of neutral and singly
ionized atoms. The yttrium abundance is examined for VAL-80 and two
HOLMU models. Good agreement with meteorite data is shown.
