Scientific paper

The paper examines four rocket studies from Franz Josef Land performed for different levels of geomagnetic activity and at different MLTs. It is shown that the maximum of hydrogen glow, a consequence of proton precipitations, is situated above the maximum of glow induced by electron precipitations. The hydrogen-glow maximum is situated in the height range of 120-140 km.
