The evolution and structure of the Fe-Ni phase in sample of the carbonaceous chondrite Kainsaz CO have been investigated experimentally. It is shown that the Fe-Ni phase formation probably occurred during some high-energy event such as melting, accompanied by sulfidization and recondensation of the metal particles, as well as their agglomerates with troilite and the silicates. Microphotographs of the chondrite samples are provided.
