Measurements of hard X-ray emission from 180 solar flares, as obtained on the Venera 13 and 14 probes, are compared with measurements of optical and thermal X-ray emissions. Values of the total energy release during a flare are calculated in these ranges, and a correlation analysis is carried out. The correlations found indicate that the total energy of fast electrons causing hard X-ray bursts in the impulsive flare phase and the thermal energy at the end of the impulsive phase have practically a functional relationship.
