Samples of continuous photometric monitoring of four dMe flare stars in the U-band have been analyzed using a modified auto-correlation technique. Evidence of quasi-periodic fluctuations of varying amplitude is found in V 1285 Aql, V 645 Cen and AU Mic of the order of half-a-minute, and also possibly in V 1054 Oph. These fluctuations are thought to be 'time signatures' of U-band micro-variability, and as such either an important contributor to the total energy budget of the flaring mechanism, or a new phenomenon indicative of other physical processes.
