In the present paper, the existence of two modulation zones in interplanetary space is revealed from an analysis of the dynamics of correlations between the intensity of the neutron component and HL-index during a period of increasing solar activity. A method is proposed for calculating the pressure coefficient and determining the effect of cosmic rays on the ionization of the atmosphere.
