We present the results of observations of a sample of 25 steep-spectrum (α > 1.1) radio sources from the RATAN-600 Catalog (RC, 7.6 cm) using the VLA (B configuration) at 20 cm, as well as eight RC, objects with arbitrary spectra that lie in the immediate vicinity of IRAS objects. Structures typical of radio galaxies (double and triple structures with a nuclear component) have been found for 14 objects, 11 of which have steep spectra, based on isophotes at 1.4 GHz. The remaining sources are not resolved with α ~ 4.25" X 4.25" beam; half of them have steep spectra. It is shown that more than 50% of the time, the difference between the objects' RC coordinates and those improved with the VLA is less than 1 σ, but 30% of the RC objects are off by more than 3 σ. The RC-VLA objects have been identified optically from Palomar prints; in only five cases did we find an optical candidate with a likelihood ratio (LR) (the identification plausibility criterion) much greater than 2. All five objects are fainter than 17^m^ and brighter in the E than in the O print. Twenty radio sources fall in empty regions on the Palomar prints. The photometric redshift was estimated by the "standard candle" method: it is > 0.9-1 for all 20 unidentified objects. The average redshift for the sample is > 0.7 and the mean linear size is > 500 kpc. The monochromatic luminosity of the identified objects is ~(5+/-3) x 10^25^ W/Hz (1.4 GHz), close to the radio luminosity of classic Fanaroff-Riley type II objects; their mean monochromatic luminosity is > 4 x 10^26^ W/Hz. Since no objects have yet been detected whose optical luminosity is less than their radio luminosity, we believe that all objects in our sample will be identified with optical objects brighter than 23.5. Those objects should have redshifts from 1 to 2.5.
