As part of an ongoing program to investigate the nature of microvariability for blazars, we have performed a multi-resolution wavelet analysis on the data obtained during several intensive monitoring campaigns studying the rapid variability of AO 0235+164 and 1156+295. The goal is to extract and identify low amplitude variations, which might otherwise not be conspicuous, and investigate whether similar components appear night-to-night. We will also compare these results with the results obtained via Principal Component Analysis. This work has been supported in part a GSU RPE grant, and by grants from NASA (NAGW-4397) and the Research Corporation.
