Scientific paper

The paper obtains a solution to the inverse problem involving the
determination of the monotonic profile of the electron density of the
lower ionosphere from group-delay measurements via satellite topside and
transionospheric sounding. The solution is obtained in the form of a
Fourier series in a system of specially chosen orthogonal polynomials.
