The solutions for three radiative transfer inverse problems in which the single scatter albedo varies with the medium and the scattering is isotropic are constructed by means of the inverse Monte Carlo method. The problems involve a half space whose single scatter albedo varies exponentially, a two-region slab for each of whose regions the single scatter albedo is sought, and the approximate solution for a finite, plane-parallel medium whose single scatter albedo varies exponentially. The solution for the last problem is obtained by considering the medium to be composed of five regions, each with constant single scatter albedo.
