Dwarf Novae: Eclipses, Dwarf Novae: Light Curves

Scientific paper

By considering some of the well-known characteristics of dwarf novae and also what is not so well known about them the author shows that IP Peg, a deeply eclipsing system, is capable of yielding key information for understanding the dwarf nova outburst mechanism. Light curves illustrating the eclipses of 1994 August 29.006 UT and September 1.960 UT are presented.
