We have used the catalogue of selected MK types established by Jaschek (1978) in order to determine intrinsic colours in the Geneva photometric system. Our results are given for O to M stars of luminosity classes V to Ia. In addition, we give relations between our indicator of spectral type, (B2--V1), and that of the UBV photometry, (B-V). These relations were obtained for the various luminosity classes.
