The interstellar extinction curve between 3500 and 10500 Å is determined from a series of two-colour plots based on existing spectral scans. Very broad structure (VBS) covers the wavelength range from 5000 to 8000 Å and consists of 3 components centered at 5300, 5900 and 6800 Å. The VBS is shown to originate in the same agent as that of continuous extinction.
