The Sun is located inside an extremely low density region of irregular shape called the Local Bubble. Close to it, there is an even larger cavity known as Loop I. A ring-like feature observed in X-ray and HI has been proposed as the contour of the bubbles interaction zone around 70pc. To confirm the ring's existence we used Stroemgren photometry for 4346 stars and polarimetry for 900 stars covering the interaction zone (defined by 50° < l < 250° and -60° < b < 60°). The analysis has shown that the west side of the ring is located about 90pc from the Sun, while the east side is farther than 280pc. The same discrepancy is seen on the polarization vectors' orientation pattern along the ring. Our findings suggest that the ring is not an unique large scale feature. Trying to explain the larger distance of the ring's eastern side, we extended the analysis to an area encompassing the Orion-Eridanus Superbubble. We have been granted with seven nights on the 0.9m telescope at CTIO, equipped with the polarimeter of M. Magalhaes; however, only 150 stars could be observed due to the bad weather. Unable to complete the campaign we are requesting another seven nights with the same instrumentation to finish the project.
