This paper presents optical observations of six stars for which anomalies had previously been reported in the strengths of certain of the unidentified diffuse interstellar bands. Anomalously strong 4430-A has been reported for four stars of low reddening, HD 25558, 26912, 35708, and 166182. In the present study it is shown that these anomalies disappear when adequate spectroscopic resolution is used. Anomalously strong 5780-A and 5797-A had been reported for HD 13476 and 19820. These anomalies also are not confirmed.
