Scientific paper

The paper examines the possible limits of radio communication as well as the foreseeable development in communication systems. Attention is given to synthetic telescopes and to the cost analyses of various telescopes, including that of a gigantic 'radio-eye' for a galactic micro-wave receiver with an aperture of D/lambda approximately equal to 10 to the fifth. The possibility of using laser beams for more effective communication is discussed together with the use of polydirectional transmission. The advantages and disadvantages of employing such an apparatus are considered.
