Diurnal variations of differential intensities of 60-210 keV proton fluxes in the magnetosphere were investigated on the basis of data acquired with two geostationary satellites of the Gorizont series. One of the satellites measured particle fluxes in the direction perpendicular to the geographical equator plane, while the other satellite measured fluxes in the direction parallel to this plane. A relationship is established between diurnal variations (day-night variation amplitudes) and spectral and angular characteristics of particle fluxes in stationary conditions. A quantitative explanation of differences in diurnal variations for particles with different energies and pitch angles is presented.
