Various models of the internal structure of Mars and Venus are calculated and analyzed. The calculations are based on the well-known hypotheses of Jeffreys (1960) and Urey (1952) concerning a two-component material composition for these planets. These components are terrestrial core and mantle material; the latter experiences a polymorphic transition at a pressure and temperature corresponding to the transition region in earth's mantle. Effects of the degree of completion of gravitational differentiation and of uncertainty in the temperature distribution in Venus and Mars on the internal-structure models are investigated. It is shown that the temperature variation in these planets has a significant effect on their material composition.
