The Large Binocular Telescope, resulting from a US/Germany/Italy partnership, is designed to be a multi-purpose observatory with single-dish and interferometric capabilities in the optical, near and mid infrared. The LBT is partially operational for science observations, and the interferometric instruments LINC-NIRVANA and LBTI will become available in 2010. I will summarize the current status of the LBT, focusing more particularly on the Fizeau interferometric wide-field imager LINC-Nirvana.
