Scientific paper

The paper examines the optical system design of an interferometer (IKAP-2) with a universal compensator for the control of the reflective-surface shape of the main mirrors of large telescopes. Attention is given to the application of this interferometer to the control of the 6-m-diameter second main mirror of the Large Azimuth Telescope and of a 2.6-m-diameter parabolic mirror.
