Stellar Structure: Stability
Scientific paper
Nonequilibrium dynamics is used to study the stability of stellar structure, including chemical reaction, diffusion and convection. The authors find that the CNO cycle is stable. The diffusion can not change the stability of the stable state. The convection will be an important effect. The instability of stellar structure is more easily excited by the perturbation with a small wave number and a great temperature gradient in the star. When the stellar structure is in a stable state, the stable condition and the minimum perturbating wave number are given.
