We discuss a linear instability in a homogeneous, pressureless,
particulate medium which is accelerated or supported against gravity by
radiation pressure. We discuss some potential astrophysical applications
of this instability, such as in the case of ionized matter supported
against gravity by radiation via Thomson scattering.
