Attention is given to the various physical and geometrical properties of inhomogeneous cosmological models with perfect fluid distributions in the presence of EM fields. Models of this kind play an important role in current understanding of such essential features of the universe as the formation of galaxies during the early stages of evolution. The space-time invoked is generally nondegenerate Petrov type I.
