We present the results of a preliminary study of infrared variability in the extensive populations of young stellar objects (YSOs) in large molecular clouds observed by the Cores-to-Disks (c2d) and Gould's Belt Spitzer Legacy teams. These observations were obtained with a strategy that provided multi-epoch observations typically separated by several hours to days, enabling us to investigate short-term variability. Comparison of these observations with those of other Spitzer campaigns that observed the same fields at least one year earlier or later enables us to probe variability over longer periods of time. We characterize the frequency, time scales, and magnitude of mid-infrared variability in YSOs of different evolutionary stages in these large molecular clouds, and compare these results with a similar analysis of YSOs in isolated dense cores observed by c2d. In addition, we use the 2MASS archive to search for near-infrared variability in these YSOs. We will conclude by exploring potential causes of any observed infrared variability. This analysis is funded by a grant from the NASA Astrophysics Data Analysis program.
