The Spitzer Infrared Nearby Galaxies Survey (SINGS) is carrying out a comprehensive multi-wavelength survey on a sample of 75 nearby galaxies. Infrared data from the Spitzer Space Telescope are now becoming available for several sources in the SINGS sample. We present a preliminary analysis on the shape and variations of the infrared spectral energy distributions as a function of position, within the context of the previous generation of models that were developed based on global Infrared Space Observatory and Infrared Astronomical Satellite data for normal star-forming galaxies. Correlations with the properties of the underlying local environment are explored.
